As a woman called to lead, I faced adversity from the very beginning. I often found myself asking God, “Why me?”

I was just a young girl—broken by childhood trauma. A girl without identity, without direction, and without a voice. Every time I tried to move forward, life seemed to push me two steps back. And yet, even in the darkest places, I could hear the still, small voice of God calling me forward: “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you.” Jeremiah 1:5 

 

God knew me, better than I knew myself. But I struggled. My inadequacies and insecurities made me question my place. Still, I could not outrun the call. No matter how far I ran, the call would find me. Over and over again, I would hear Him say: “Monique, I have need of you.”

It wasn’t until I surrendered that everything began to change. In my yes, I gave God permission to heal me, restore me, and make me whole. That yes became the doorway to purpose. It’s where I stopped chasing identity from people and finally received it from Him.

That yielded yes transformed me into the woman I am today whole, confident, and called. I am Chayil! 

​

I am clothed in virtue, strength, and power. 

I am a woman who now understands the authority I carry not just in the spirit, but in the earth. 

I am multifaceted. God has called me to both ministry and marketplace. 

Once broken, now whole. 

Once silenced, now commissioned.
